This piece can be hand-engraved to express something unique to you; personal initials, the initials of a loved one, or the first letters of the names of all family members or children, or a commemorative date. Other ideas for engraving are a nickname, a special place, a word that will bring about a memory, or a favorite number.
I also love the idea of creating a private acronym. My mother and her sister would sign off their letters to each other with the acronym, “SHMILY” (see-how-much-i-love-you) which has now been adopted my cousin, my sister and me. I have another friend whose father signs his letters “OOY” (there is…Only-One-You).. ABYS (always-by-your-side) or LL (love & light).
